The World newspaper Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon Monday, March 8, 1982 OBITUARIES; Page 3 LOLA GERKING Private services for Lola Vale Gerking, 88, were held today at Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of the Coos Bay Chapel, 685 Anderson. Mrs. Gerking, a resident of the Bay Area for the past 24 years, was born Oct. 26, 1893, in Eugene and died March 7 in Coos Bay. She was a housewife. Survivors include her son, James B. Gerking of Paisley; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, in 1948 and a daughter, Helen Lutz, in 1965.
