YAKIMA - Friday, July 30, 1999. Stanley W. Beck passed away. He was born July 9, 1927 in his grandfather's old home in the Nile area where the Rattlesnake river joins the Naches river When his grandfather died, his family moved to a farm south of Naches where he grew up and received his public schooling. At the close of World War II, he entered the Army and was separated soon afterwards. He attended Seattle University but left to marry the girl of this dreams. Wilva Addington. They were married in 1946 and had one son, Warren "Gary" Beck. Stanley worked at many various jobs early in life but always enjoyed the period when he was a motion picture projectionist in several theaters in Yakima and Richland. The only one still in existence is Yakima Historical Capital Theater. he is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years, Wilva: one son Warren; two brothers John "Al" Beck of Yakima and Lawrence Beck of Spokane; two sisters, Col. Grace elaine Munzer of Pacific Grove, Calif. and Norma Clark of Selah. He was preceded in death by his father, John Denton Beck of Naches and his mother, Dora M. (Wise) Beck of Selah. Shaw and Sons has charge of funeral arrangements. There will be graveside services at Tahoma Cemetery on Tuesday, August 3, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. All who plan to attend, please meet there. A vigil will be conducted at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors, Monday August 2nd, 1999 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be held today from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Rosary.
