Notes for Elisha Stillwell

Elisha Stillwell, born September 25, 1829, son of Dorcus
Pringle and John Stillwell. After the death of his father, Elisha was
raised by his Uncle Elisha and his wife Elizabeth. He married Eliza
McAdams in 1858. Tey were parents of a daughter. His second marriage
was to Nancy Young on January 28, 1862. In the Civil War Elisha rose to
the rank of Major, this being the highest rank I can find for any of the
Stillwells.
